Vlog: Paris ♡

I finally got my travel vlog to Paris ready! Making it was a mess and the result is a shaky, low quality video. Anyways, I did this for fun so if you're interested, watch it below!

ps. I just recently bought myself a new camera more suitable to vlogging... maybe I should film more?

Opiskelua

Hey!

I’m so exhausted from all the studying. Midterms are coming next week and I’m nervous how they’ll go. I also have a dance competition on the following day. We’ve been dancing so hard but I still feel like we need more practice.

Today I started studying at home, but went to a coffeeshop to continue after I started to get a little restless. I even got a friend to join me, which motivated me nicely.

I was also wearing a cute outfit. I found these socks on sale the other day. Two pairs were only three euros. I was lucky, because I’ve been thinking about buying socks like these. The shoes I’ve been wearing a lot lately, since I haven’t wanted to wear my high heel boots.

Hei!

Oon ihan puhki! Tuntuu, kun olisin juossut maratonin, vaikka todellisuudessa oon vain opiskellut. Viikon kuluttua koittaa lukukauden puolivälin kokeet… mulla on kolme koetta samana päivänä! Jännittää, miten ne tulee menemään, vaikka oonkin opiskellut ahkerasti jo pari viikkoa. Tenttien lisäksi mulla on niitä seuraavana päivänä tanssikisat. Ollaan monitoroitu meijän treenivideoita niin tarkasti, että nykyään nään niissä vain virheitä. Tiedän, että ollaan jo tarpeeksi hyviä kisoihin, mutta silti kaipaan vielä muutamia treenejä ja hiomista.

Tänään päivä alkoi opiskelulla kotona, ja vaikka sainkin paljon aikaan, oli mulla jo iltapäivällä tosi levoton ja saamaton olo. Päätin laittaa vaatteet päälle, meikata ja mennä kahvilaan jatkamaan. Onneksi sain kaverinkin seuraksi, se tsemppasi mukavasti!

Mulla oli tänään myös kiva asu. Olin ostamassa sukkiksia yks päivä, kun huomasin nämä sukat alennuksessa. Näiden mukana tuli toinenkin pari ja maksoi vaan kolme euroa! Hyvä löytö, koska oon miettinyt tällaisten sukkien ostoa.  Kuvien maiharit on olleet mulla kovassa käytössä. Mulla on muutamat korolliset syyskengät, mutta viime viikkoina ei oo tehnyt mieli vääntää mun nilkkoja korkkareihin, joten nämä kengät on olleet ahkerassa käytössä.

Just Totally Clueless

Muistatteko sen yhen kerran kun olin luonut Clueless-tyylisen asun ja julistin pitäväni sitä ikuisesti? No... löysin netistä tän jakun ja hameen ja mun oli ihan pakko ostaa se. Nyt mulla on asu jota pitää ikuisesti. Aluks ajattelin pukeutuvani Cheriks Halloweenina, mut tää saapu nopeemmin kuin odotin joten mun oli pakko ottaa se mukaan Pariisiin. Sain tosi paljon kehuja siitä! Muutama Sephoran työntekijä kehui kuinka kauniilta näytin ja yks tyttö pysäytti mut kadulla kehuakseen tätä asua. Tota ei tapahdu kauheen usein Suomessa... On kuitenkin ihanaa saada kehuja ja muistaa ne silloin kun on huono fiilis. Jos siellä on joku iso Clueless-fani, voin Suositella Glitters For Dinner-kauppaa. Siellä on niin paljon söpöjä vaatteita ja toi asu oli tosi hyvää materiaalia!

Remember that one time I created a Clueless inspired outfit and said I'd wear it forever? Well... I found this yellow tartan blazer & skirt set online and I had to buy it. Now I have a outfit I can wear forever. I thought about wearing it on Halloween but the package arrived faster than I expected and I just had to take it with me to Paris. I got so many compliments! A couple of Sephora employees complimented how pretty I looked and one girl stopped me on street to compliment the outfit. That happens rarely in Finland... but it's nice to get compliments and remember them when feeling down. Anyways, if you're a huge Clueless fan, I can recommend Glitters For Dinner. They have so many cute clothes and the outfit was really good quality!

Paris part 2

Editoin äsken vähän asukuvia ja päätin laittaa nämä kuvat omaan postaukseen. Oon muuten aatellu muuttaa mun blogin ulkoasua. Tää nykyinen on ihan jees, mutta haluisin että koko postaus näkyy kokonaisuudessaan etusivulla eikä sitä tarvis klikata erikseen. Katotaan, jos osaan muuttaa ton ite tai sit laitan mun blogiin jonkun toisen ulkoasun.

I just edited some outfit pictures and decided to put these pictures in their own post. By the way, I’ve been thinking about changing this blog’s template. This one is quite nice, but I’d like the whole post to show on the front page without having to click it. Let’s see if I can modify that myself or I have to change the whole template.

Paris

Tässä kuvia mun ja äidin Pariisin reissulta parin viikon takaa. Pariisista tuli ehdottomasti yks mun suosikkikaupungeista. Vaikka oon aina nähnyt siitä kuvia, se silti onnistui yllättämään mut: Ihan kaikkialla oli kauniita kerman värisiä taloja ja ranskalaisia parvekkeita. Miten kaikki voi olla niin kaunista siellä? Ihmettelin myös paikallisten ystävällisyyttä, koska kaikki aina sanoo, ettei ranskalaiset halua puhua englanniksi turistien kanssa. Sen sijaan kaikki oli todella mukavia ja tuli auttamaan pyytämättäkin, kun näytettiin eksyneiltä kadulla.

Here's some pictures from my trip to Paris a couple of weeks back. The city instantly became one of my favorites. Even though I've always seen pictures of it, it still surprised me how beautiful everything was. The locals were also much friendlier than I thought: everyone always says, the French aren't very friendly if you don't speak French.

We took outfit pictures, but because my outfit was almost the same as in here, I won't post them, haha.

Meidän matka alkoi tosi lupaavasti: myöhästyttiin lentokoneesta. Oltiin hyvissä ajoin paikalla, mutta ilmeisesti katsottiin tekstiviestillä tulleista matkalipuista lennon lähtöaikaa kuvitellen sen olevan boarding... Oon aina ihmetellyt, miten joku voi myöhästyä lennoltaan mutta tulipahan sekin koettua. Päästiin onneksi muutama tunti myöhässä paikalle. Ensimmäisenä päivänä me nähtiin Sacré-Cœurin kirkko, josta käveltiin Moulin Rougelle ja siitä otettiin metro Eiffel-tornille. En ikinä unohda sitä tunnetta, kun näin valaistun Eiffel-tornin ensimmäistä kertaa. Se oli vielä isompi kuin kuvittelin!

We somehow managed to miss our plane even though we were at the airport on time. Apparently, we checked our boarding time wrong. When we finally got to Paris, we went to see Sacré-Cœur, Moulin Rouge and the Eiffel-tower. I never will forget the feeling when I saw the Eiffel-tower for the first time. It was even bigger than I thought!

Linnanmäki

Yesterday must have been the funniest day of summer. My friends and I went to Linnanmäki amusement park! I love amusement parks and it’s a must to go once in summer. The weather was a little rainy, but it was okay since it was still quite warm. Perhaps the rainy weather was a reason there wasn’t much people, thanks to which we didn’t need to queue at all. For instance, we were the only customers in the Ferris wheel. I can honestly recommend visiting Linnanmäki after schools have started!

Flow Festival 2017: Friday

Yesterday it was my first time going to Flow Festival! I've wanted to go since 2011 and now that I finally got to go, I wasn't disappointed at all. The weather was great, I got good company and the festival area was so cool! The perfect place for hanging out and having fun.

The main artist on Friday was Lana Del Rey, who is definitely in my top 5 favorite artists. I was at her concert in 2013 and I can say that her stage presence has improved a lot. Her new album, Lust for life might be my favorite of her so far and I really waited for Cherry and White Mustang. However, maybe the most exciting part of her performance was when some random got on stage out of nowhere, hugged Lana and the security took him away. Lana seemed confused yet amused.

Flow is the most fashionable festival in Finland, so I knew I had to put on a nice outfit. I came straight off work, so I just chose to wear a simple summer dress. For makeup, I tried something "new" that I called the glitter freckles. That means putting glitter where I would have freckles. I combined two popular trends of 2017, lol.

I got a ticket for Sunday too, so maybe I'll post then, too.

Long time no see

I hate to say this but… long time no see! Recently I’ve only been going to work and have seen my friends very occasionally, so I haven’t had much to post. Some stuff has happened - nothing interesting enough for a single blog post though - so I thought I’d combine them into one blog post.

1. Squatting or gathering flowers, not sure which. 2. The bouquet 3. Me acting like a princess 4. The finished flower crown!

Let’s start with midsummer. I spent it hanging out with friends and chilling at home. I made my first-ever flower crown, which was a lot harder than I thought… but in the end, it looked nice! That was probably the only midsummer-ish thing I did.

1. My necklaces, that should be somewhere else than on the table... 2. Grabbed a coffee with friends 3. Pizza! 4. My outfit, which I think was really cute. I love the mini backbag.

A week ago, my friends and I had a reunion, when our dear friend Linda came back from her student exchange. We ate pizza and watched the movie Burlesque, which has very cool dance scenes but is otherwise very corny and funny. I waited for our reunion a lot, because we haven’t seen each other at the same time for a while now (and one of us is permanently studying abroad, so she couldn’t join us). On top of that, I don’t know when we’ll have everyone gathered up again, since two girls of our group are now leaving for student exchange.

Other than that, nothing much has happened, except that I went to Provinssi to see one of my favorite bands, Die Antwoord. I really liked their gig in Provinssi two years ago and had to go this year too. Ninja and Yo-Landi both reposted my Instagram-posts (lol, omg, wtf), which was very cool and I felt really honored, but enough about that. I’ve spoken about this way too much, haha.

Lastly, here’s one outfit picture. I got those jeans from sale, and I’m so happy how they are high waisted, skinny and have distressed hem. I’ve been looking for jeans like this the whole spring, but no pair has been good enough. After I got them, I also bought that belt, not only because those jeans really need one, but also because I got inspired by all the people wearing the Gucci logo belt.

Temppeliaukio

Hi everyone! On Wednesday, I met with Jone and we had a lot of catching up to do. We ended up walking to Temppeliaukio and realized, that there are so many beautiful places in Helsinki we never go to. When I meet with her or anyone of my friends, we always go to Kamppi, Rautatientori or Kluuvi – You know, the city center. That realization gave us a thought of exploring the city more this summer. Will we actually do it? I don’t know yet.

The slip dresses are on trend right now, and of course I’ve been wanting one, too. I go along with many “stupid” fashion trends but slip dresses are so basic that I thought I could allow myself that. My dress in the photos was first a lot longer but I just simply cut it with scissors… Yep, the hem is now uneven and I will have to finish it with a sewing machine. Another trend of this summer I’ve been digging: The Princetown leather slippers by Gucci. I bought similar shoes and I’ve been loving how neat they are, but I must say that this trend will last only a second.

Oh, one more thing! I was looking for glasses like these I’m wearing in this photo, and was so surprised when I found them in a store I never go to: New Yorker. I don’t know why I went there because I can never find anything from there, but I’m glad I did!
